Decent little island. Beware the grackles - one will grab the back of your shirt and peck your back trying to get food.
This is a great spot to enjoy the sealife with your family. Be warned there is limited parking, but even if you park a little far away there are shaded pedestrian walkways that provide access to different areas of the beach. We found large sea snails, crabs, fish, and all kinds of sea shells. The limited parking also meant limited beach traffic so it was easy to find a shady spot to sit together.
Beautiful sunset spot. Can park there and put your beach chairs next to you. Dogs and grilling allowed. Busy in season. Some trees for shade.
Fantastic place to stop halfway across the Causeway and take in the sights - Pelicans diving, Osprey leaping off the bridge, shorebirds and Terns to photograph. Beach is a little rocky, but no parking fees to stop. Crossing the Causeway to Sanibel Island is a spectacular view.
